PSYCRUNK (CD) 2006
Some mix cds come along that are so ambitious and creative, that they almost cease to be "mixes" anymore. Already exsisting songs take on a whole new life, and the dj cracks the border between artist and conduit. This is one of those mixes. Delay carefully weaves together the worlds of Psychadelic Rock and Dirty South Hip Hop. Delay selects choice mind altering elements from both genres and bakes up a new kind of sizzurp. You'll be trippin when you hear this here.

MEDIUM: RARE II / WELL DONE (2xCD) 2006
"Delay's just released a power-pack double-CD set, one of funkalcious b-boy tracks for you to wear your Puma soles out to; the other a collection of rare rap that never compromises quality simply for the sake of obscurity.

What's nuts is that Delay manages to find at least a few dozen songs that allows him to maintain the same upbeat groove throughout the entire CD without feeling repetitive or redundant.

The second track is actually a bonus cut that Delay includes at the end of Medium: Rare II, a remix of "Life's a Bitch," by Nas, feat. AZ. If I'm not mistaken, I think Delay actually put this together on a whim for an impromptu remix contest on Soulstrut.com but it hardly sounds like something he slapped together. I was never a huge fan of the original beat to "Life's a Bitch," but I'm loving how Delay gives this song a whole new sound and feel. (Hint: white label needed!)
Both CDs are only available for a limited time (I got #101 out of 250 limited run) so act fast to order."

MEDIUM: RARE (CD) 2005
"I'll be honest - I often confuse Dr. Delay and DJ Day (who I'll have a post from coming soon)...not just because their names are similar but mostly because both put out kick ass mixes and edit tracks. With DELAY, he's just released a power-pack double-CD set, one of funkalcious b-boy tracks for you to wear your Puma soles out to; the other a collection of rare rap that never compromises quality simply for the sake of obscurity.

I included the first 9 minutes or so of Well Done, the b-boy mix; what's nuts is that Delay manages to find at least a few dozen songs that allows him to maintain the same upbeat groove throughout the entire CD yet it without feeling repetitive or redundant.

The second track is actually a bonus cut that Delay includes at the end of Medium: Rare II, a remix of "Life's a Bitch," by Nas, feat. AZ. The Limitations EP (12") 2003
This four song EP was a sophmore effort by the doc. 2 of his 3 tracks are uptempo bboy montages that run through at least 2 dozen samples each. "General Krooks Anthem" is a medely of percussion that seems to take you around the world. Middle Eastern, Latin, Rock, and even Asian rhythm sections are covered. His friends, The All Good Funk Alliance, chime in with a nice remix for this track. "Rock Relax" is more of a breakdancer's workout song that resembles one of Steinski's "Lessons" as it breezes through break after break. His other track, "The Difference," is a darker, more experimental song that begins to show exactly where this guy is going musically.

C.H.A.O.S. (12") 2001
Thi
s track was picked off of an old cd, "Brave New World" where Delay recreated Aldus Huxley's Novel, of the same name, musically. He orginally created this song in 1999, but it was'nt released on wax until 2001.
